Blessing Okagbare Bests British Sprinters To Win 200m Gold In Glasgow

The 25-year-old Blessing Okagbare won the 2014 sprint today at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland, by winning the women's 200m ahead of English duo Jodie Williams and Bianca Williams, claimed victory in 22.25 seconds.
Though the three British sprinters who took second, third, and fourth place achieved personal best times, they could not best Okagbare, who also won the 100m race on Monday.
Jodie Williams and Bianca Williams shed tears of a different kind by claiming respective silver and bronze in the 200m.
"I am happy I won," said Okagbare. "It wasn't favorable weather and running two rounds in one day is new for me."
She furthered, "I wanted something faster. I didn't get the time but I got the win and two golds. It's amazing."
